That's a first!

With restrictions on gatherings, understandably the wedding industry is struggling at the moment. Weddings that haven’t been postponed are very different to what they were initially going to be. Some of my clients have postponed to have the wedding as it was going to be, just at the end of the year all going to plan. Others have opted to make them smaller and still have the wedding on the same day.

One wedding that is happening next month was always going to be just the two grooms, two witnesses and myself. This wedding is going to be very different to most and contain a couple of firsts for me. To say I’m excited is an understatement. One of the grooms is a full time artist and his fiancé is also a very creative guy and when they booked me they said there was going to be a performance art element to the ceremony.

They have since given me more detail about the day. They are building a stage, everyone will be in some kind of costume and while I have no idea of the storyline/theme/idea behind the production I do know that my costume is going to be a LOBSTER costume. That’s right. LOBSTER.

The image with this post is just an image from google so I don’t know exactly what I’ll look like but I do know that I will be savouring the fun and making damn sure I’ll be getting photos and video of the ceremony! How much fun! My first themed/costume wedding!
