It's in the stars
Having only been in the wedding business for a bit over two years there are lots of things I’m yet to see at weddings or be asked to do by clients. Personally I can’t wait to experience all the different ideas, especially as we enter an era when lots of the old fashioned traditions are being left behind and couples are tailoring their ceremonies exactly how they want.
I’ve just met with a couple who are waiting to hear back from their Astrologist about suitable timings and locations for their wedding. She’s currently on holiday in India so we don’t know when that information is coming through but they feel that it’s important to have that guidance before locking in details.
As a bit of a sceptic about those kind of things it’s not important to me but part of my job is going along with the couple and their requests. If it’s legal and it’s not hurting anyone, I’m fine with it. They are also having a very small ceremony of only about 20 people so it will be quite a different wedding to the typical wedding.
The two grooms are quite creative and “alternative” guys so convention was never going to fit them well. I’ve known one of the guys for a couple of years now and when he approached me I joked that I wouldn’t be surprised if this was my first booking for a naked wedding. His mother had actually asked if he was going to be nude when he told her about the wedding. It turns out that no, this one won’t be a nude wedding. One day I’ll do one of those and it will be brilliant. Until then I’ll have to wait to see what is written in the stars for these guys when their Astrologist gets back to them.
