The happiest day!
Every couple wants something different for their wedding day. Some want formal, others very relaxed but the one thing everyone expects to be on their special day is happy and full of love. It’s my job as the Wedding Celebrant to help make that a reality.
It’s my philosophy as a Celebrant that if you can’t have a laugh in your ceremony on what is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, then you are probably a bit too stressed and that’s never good. One of my brides, actually my very first, got red wine on her dress 10 minutes into her reception. Was she worried? Nope. She had all the formal photos done and there was nothing that could be done.
My most recent couple, the guys pictured above, had the perfect mix of emotional happy tears, laughs and seriousness in their wedding ceremony. It was a very low key wedding in a park in Melbourne, the sun was out and the mood was perfect.
If I am going to offer any advice to couples on the day, it would be to breathe and don’t sweat the small stuff. You don’t want something minor that might have gone wrong to be your memory five years down the track of your wedding.
